Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Futrahood's website, web application, and mobile apps (together, the "Service"), provided by Futrahood Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Futrahood", "we", "us"). By creating an account, or by using the Service as a resident, guard, or staff member added by a Society, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can create a Society workspace
Society workspaces are provisioned by our team, typically after a conversation with your society's managing committee or facility manager — Futrahood does not offer open, self-serve account creation. Once a workspace exists, the Society's administrator is responsible for inviting residents, guards, and staff, and for the accuracy of the information they enter about those individuals.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at hello@futrahood.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Futrahood is billed to the Society, based on the plan and billing cycle (monthly or yearly) agreed with your account manager, typically scaling with the number of buildings and flats.
- Platform invoices are generated on a recurring basis and can be paid online (currently via Paytm) or by the offline method your account manager arranges.
- New Societies typically begin with a trial period; access may be limited or paused if a Society's account falls significantly overdue, after reasonable notice.
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed with you in writing. Contact us if you believe you were billed in error.
- Separately, if your Society enables online payment collection from residents (e.g. for maintenance dues), those payments are between the resident and the Society; Futrahood facilitates the transaction but is not a party to it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others (including in complaints, discussion posts, or marketplace listings).
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another Society's data or another user's account.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
- Upload malicious code or content that violates applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.
6. Your content, your data
Your Society retains ownership of the data it enters into Futrahood — resident records, documents, complaints, financial records, and everything else. We process that data to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. On request, we'll help a Society export or delete its data, subject to reasonable technical limits and any legal record-keeping obligations.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and payment providers (see our Privacy Policy for the current list). Those providers have their own terms, and we're not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond what applicable law requires of us as their customer.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it reliable and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every specific purpose. Futrahood is a record-keeping and coordination tool — it does not replace your Society's own physical security arrangements, legal compliance obligations, or professional judgment (e.g. accounting or legal advice).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Futrahood is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees paid by your Society in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination
A Society may stop using the Service at any time; contact us to close an account. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment after notice, or if required by law. On termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) continue to apply.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify Society admins in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over Futrahood Technologies Pvt Ltd's registered office.
